Our barn session with Arleigh & Ophelia was a long time coming. This session was a gift last Christmas from Sally to her husband Corey. The original plan was to shoot in their lovely townhome where Arleigh, a 180 lb mastiff and Ophelia, a long-haired Scottish Fold, would be most comfortable.
But, as often happens, life got complicated. Corey, a consultant with the Navy, was sent back to Afghanistan. This time for 8 months. The couple also started renovations on their home.
So, we decided to wait until Corey returned and finally settled on a session in the barn since the house is still a work in progress. Arleigh’s large size rather limited our use of furniture. It’s hard to imagine that he was 6 pounds when he came home as a puppy. Ophelia, on the other hand, enjoyed various sofas and chairs. And since this was our first cat in the renovated barn we thought it fitting that a mouse scurried across the floor as Ophelia took her position under the lights.
With pet photography, it truly is always something. Thanks for finally coming out Arleigh and Ophelia!
