It wasn’t a surprise. In fact, I’ve been looking for it every day – a fax from Candy’s oncologist saying the Anderson’s had said goodbye to their precious girl. It was waiting for me on Tuesday after I returned from the holiday weekend.
We photographed her just over a month ago and told her story here. So today, with a heavy heart, I write her memorial. To a brave, brave dog – you will be sadly missed. To a loving and devoted family – you gave Candy an entire extra year filled with smells and belly rubs and rolls in the grass.
