We lost Gibson yesterday.  Way too soon.  He was a young dog and has suffered with a brain tumor for 23 months.  We photographed Gibson in the barn last summer. He was a happy, playful dog.  This is how we wish to remember him.  Bev Hollis Photography has made a donation to 2 Dogs 2000 Miles and our heartfelt sympathies to his humans Mary & Dale. I know he will be sadly missed.

Mary and Dale, I read your post on Lucy Murphy’s spot on Bev’s blog just before Bev came to Reston to sit with Fr Tom and go over all the proofs so he could make his selections. I thought of Gibson several times during that meeting. April was kinda cruel to many of us, wasn’t it? However, what helps me with the pain is to remember first of all what wonderful gifts Lucy and Fr Tom were to one another, and both of them to me. I am certain that your Gibson was loved and knew it, and what a handsome devil! Bev said today that you are going to get a print of the “In Memory – Gibson” shot. I am sure you will love having that one…..he looks ready to go! Give your other four-leggers a special hug tonight from me.
I can remember Gibson rounding up all the greyhounds in my yard. They were very perplexed but Gibson was doing his “job.” He also came to a Girl Scout event at the VFW and was the hit of the afternoon. Beautiful dog…beautiful soul.
Gibson was a truly delightful puppy, whose life was cut too short. He will be sorely miss by all of Mary and Dale’s family and friends. Bless you and your other puppies.
