It was a dark and grey day for this session. I was rather glad that two of my subjects were white! We met Cathy and her 3 dogs at the farm for an afternoon session. Two American Eskimo dogs named Schmoopy & Sassy, and their older “sister” Mia, a hound-mix of sorts, spent a couple hours with us last week.
Mia, the matriarch of the family, would rather have had the treats and sat on the sidelines. She seemed to enjoy watching the “Eskies” being photographed way more than she liked being in the images herself. When on the sidelines though, she enjoyed stirring things up and used every trick in the book to rile up both Sassy and Schmoopy.
We got a few nice shots of this girl though and she got some treats – so I guess it was a win-win…
Mia
Schmoopy was Mr. Photo-guy. He totally knew he was cute and worked the camera from every angle. Schmoopy is quite the personality. He has his own blog where he shares many photos of himself and family members. Mr. Schmoop is gorgeous. He comes from the Silver Oaks Kennels in California and Washington and his “official” name is “Silveroaks Love of Kate’s Life.. Schmoopy.”

Sassy, the other “eskie” is also a Silveroaks dog. She just “finished” in the show ring and is now officially, CH Silveroak’s One Hot Little Number. A delightful little dog with spunk and spirit and energy. Congratulations on your recent championship!
We had such a dark day that we weren’t able to romp in the fields for some play shots. But this trio promises to return for those gorgeous running shots!
