Miles – Downtown Leesburg!

We spent a late fall afternoon ambling about the historic district of Leesburg with Miles. Miles is a 10 year old rottweiler who has recently been diagnosed with cancer.  While bone cancer is often what is seen in rotties, Miles’ human, Natalie, has been told that Miles has a pancreatic tumor called an insulinoma.  This is not great news.

The better news though is that Miles’ multiple vets are conflicted on the diagnosis so we are hoping the vet who is calling cancer is wrong.  At any rate, Natalie has lost two other rottweilers at much younger ages so she is very grateful that Miles has had such a long and healthy life.

You would not know he was sick (or 10 years old!) to look at him. Happy, and a lover of people, I think he rather enjoyed his stroll about Leesburg!

Miles, we had a lovely time. As a vet I always wanted to be right. But this time, I hope your vet is wrong….
