We hosted two beautiful Cocker Spaniels at the farm this past weekend – Amelie and Beau. Amelie, age 12, and Beau, age 8, were both adopted just a YEAR AGO as seniors! We love people who adopt aging pets!
Both dogs went through the Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Northern Virginia and found their forever homes with Denise and Lyle. Amelie was a puppy mill dog used to churn out litter after litter. Beau, was taken from an abusive home. And now they’ve won the lottery! Complete with a photo session.
We had what was most likely the last day of true “fall” shooting at the farm. Most of the leaves are down. But the lines and textures that are left behind are beautiful. I always look forward to winter sessions. After the bold colors of fall I so enjoy the challenges of artfully photographing pets on a neutral grey backdrop. There is so much beauty there as well.
We had a lovely time with these two seniors. At the end of our session I think they both had quite a bit of energy left. We wish them many, many years in their new forever home!
