I'm thrilled to have you visit my blog! I have specialized in Fine Art Pet Photography in the northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. area for the past 10 years.

Most recently I've moved to Asheville, NC and am doing only limited client work. My recent path has me working on several photography projects, most of course, involve dogs.

Please check back often for updated project work!

wendy - Too cute!

Belle (1.1.1998 – 9.1.2008)

Another loss amongst our wonderful animal family members.  This morning, Belle, a beautiful girl we had the privilege to photograph last fall, passed away quietly with her family members at her side.

Belle was a very spirited geriatric when I met her.  Having already survived one round of lung cancer she was full of spunk the morning of our session.

We offer our sympathy to Belle’s family.

Lisa L - What a beauty! Rest in peace, Miss Belle.

Happy Labor Day!

This morning I did something I rarely take time for РI went out early and shot for myself.  There will be no labor today. Only relaxation.

Sending special thoughts to all of our friends in the New Orleans area.

Crystal - Hey Bev,
was mulling around on your archives. Has Loudoun Magazine seen your work? These photos are so colorful they would be great for advertizing.

This was our second session with Brandi. We did an abbreviated session at the farm earlier this summer.

Brandi is the much loved 16 year old Yorkie of Trinh and Jason. They opened their hearts and their home to this little girl when she was already at the advanced age of 11.

She has been living with kidney failure for the last 4 years. She has grown weary and Jason and Trinh (and probably Brandi too) know her days are numbered.

Though she spent most of our session resting (or trying to get away from the dreaded camera!), she rallied at the very end for a bit of her favorite treat- McDonald’s ice cream.

To Trinh and Jason and Brandi – enjoy your final days together and know we are with you in thought and support.

Trinh Wauer - Hi Ms. Bev –

You amaze me…somehow, you manage to get the best of me! And this is despite me being so dog-tired lately (excuse the pun)… You already know that I’m not a big fan of that big, flashing box you’re always sticking in my snout but looking at these pics, you would never know it. Thanks for a wonderful day – that ice cream in the end made it all worth it! 🙂

Love and licks,

Brandi Wauer

My mom says the photos are amazing. That you really captured the emotion in the photo of Trinh and Brandi.
Its a good think I can claim you as mine now too 🙂

Lisa L - I love each and every one of these–they remind me so much of my little Toby. The one of her with her “Mom” brought tears to my eyes and the one with her icecream treat made me smile. LOVE your work! I’m gonna have to stalk your blog!

Patti Carothers - These pictures are amazing. You captured the Love shared between Brandi and her Mommy. I have never seen such beautiful heart-warming pictures. You are a true artist in every sense of the word.
