  • WELCOME

I'm thrilled to have you visit my blog! I have specialized in Fine Art Pet Photography in the northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. area for the past 10 years.

Most recently I've moved to Asheville, NC and am doing only limited client work. My recent path has me working on several photography projects, most of course, involve dogs.

Please check back often for updated project work!

Daisy

I write this with a very heavy heart. It was less than a month ago that we photographed our dear friend Daisy. I was saddened to learn of her passing on Monday of this week.

Daisy, widely known and loved, will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her. Our greatest sympathy to her family.

Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives.

Pamela Lopez - Our Dogs are our forever Babies.

They are never with us long enough. They give so much Joy, Love and Happiness. Our Baby Bichon of 16 years left us suddenly a year ago. She is forever in our hearts. Beautiful images as those posted, help keep them close in memory.

Such a Gorgeous Baby she is.

Emma - Daisy looked like an amazing spirit. I dont doubt she was surrunded by love constantly.
I can imagine there is a big place above where our pets watch over us and where they will one day see us again.

Marnie of Crescendo Photography - What a shame to lose someone with so much obvious personality. Daisy looks like a sweet and soulful girl and I am sure she left a legacy of unconditional love (and snoring) behind. My sympathies for her people.

Gibson's Mom - We had the privilege of knowing Miss Daisy. She was the funniest bull dog I have ever met. We were so sad when we found out she was ill. We and all her dog friends will miss her.

A Few more from Sky’s 1 year shoot.

We had so much fun following Sky for his first year I thought I’d post a few more of the images from his final session. He is such a sweet and beautiful dog.

Bev - Gigi
Thanks for the wonderful comment. My goal and my style is to create a timeless image. I think placing the dogs in beautiful settings helps me achieve this.

Ganell Kopp - What a gorgeous dog. Great shots!

Evenings in Virginia

We’re experiencing a string of days. Everyone is commenting. Everyone is smiling. The humidity is low, temperatures are moderate. This can’t be Virginia or it can’t be August.

Time to steal an evening image of Lily, just after dinner, and before the sun drops.

Jody - I want to see more of Lily. What a beautiful little girl! You really captured her eyes.

Princess Daisy

I did a shoot recently of Princess Daisy. Some of you know that she is the famous blog dog who’s mom and grandmom own Everything and the Dog, Loudoun county’s premier pet walking and concierge service.

Daisy has been blogging for about a year now and has amassed quite a following. Seems she spends more time lamenting about the low IQ of her pitbull brother Bob than anything else.

Sadly, Daisy was recently diagnosed with both a tumor in her heart as well as a very nasty heart condition. She forges on though and continues to bring happiness not just to her own family, but to many who blog with her regularly.

She’s still feisty enough to leave a comment on my blog regarding the fact that she did not make the Workman Calendar for 2009. So, for Daisy, here are a few images of that lovely face – attitude and all. I think if you check out her blog she’ll be posting a few images that will show you how she really feels. For Daisy..Daisy
