Mr. Jacks & Allie – Stoneleigh Kennels

Well, we now have 3/4 of our 4 dog shoot finished! We had to abandon our shoot when we lost our light on our first time out so last Friday we ventured out again. This time with Mr. Jacks & Allie, and their human, Linda.

Both dogs are rescues with Mr. Jacks coming from an abusive home.  He was seized by animal control and found his way into the home (and heart) of his forever home with his human Linda.

Jacks is all dog.  Ready to run and romp at a moments notice. Allie, the consummate lady,  was quite poised and happy to have her human along to roam the beautiful fields of Stoneleigh Kennels.  This time we had a lovely afternoon of light and late fall warmth.  We even caught what remained of a bit of fall color. The property is gorgeous, the dogs a delight.  No better way to spend an afternoon.  Thanks for hanging with us Mr. Jacks and Allie!

Pitch & Duke – Home Study

It’s been over a year since we met Pitch and Duke. Their humans, John and Maynil, had scheduled a shoot late last season.  Too late as a matter of fact. As soon as we had them on the books the winds took the leaves, the rains came and we decided to postpone.  Now, a full year later we were almost shut out again. Two days of rain, blustery winds – it wasn’t looking good.  But, early afternoon, the skies cleared, the last of the leaves hung on, and we finally had our session with these two boys!

Pitch, a 12 1/2 year old black lab who doesn’t look a day over 6, and Duke, an 8 year old yellow lab who hasn’t met a camera he doesn’t  like, gleefully showed us about their “property.”  And what a beautiful property they have!  Wooded trails, open grassy play areas and all of it fenced just for them!  These two are quite a pair.

Pitch really preferred to roam about and could take or leave the camera. Duke, on the other hand, was striking poses even during lens changes!  They are just a delight, these two boys. Fast friends and devoted to their humans.  And very, very, very, BALL oriented!!  Even at 12 1/2, Pitch can outrun Duke on most ball chases.  It was a joy to watch the spirit of these guys.  Thanks for having us out to your gorgeous property Pitch and Duke!
